  • Take Screenshot on Samsung Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J4

    Samsung J series smartphones are one of the successful smartphone series from past couple of years. Samsung Galaxy J6, Samsung Galaxy J4, Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus are the latest release from this series.     Both Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J4 smartphones run on Android Oreo with Samsung own custom skin Experience 9.5 UI. This is the same OS version used in Galaxy J6 Plus and Galaxy J4 Plus. For all the 4 phones, the method to perform print screen remains same.

    • First, go to the screen on which you want to capture a screenshot.
    • Press and hold volume down and power button simultaneously.
    • You will observe a shutter sound and screen flickering.
    • This confirms screenshot is taken.

    • On the screen on which you want to capture the screenshot, launch Google Assistant.
    • Just say or type “Take Screenshot”

Triple camera setup and fingerprint scanner integrated power button in the side are the unique features of this device among the Samsung Galaxy smartphones available today. The price of  Galaxy A7 (2018) starts from INR 23,990. Though it has many good features, considering the price, we felt a few things are not great on this device.     • Lack 4K Recording Option: Video recording is restricted to full HD resolution. Even though  Samsung Galaxy A7 2018  is a camera-centric phone, it is sad to see no 4K video recording.
    • No Option Image Stabilisation: Though there is an EIS for the rear camera, the device lacks optical image stabilization.
    •  No NFC: This means, you can use Samsung Pay mini and not the full version of Samsung Pay. Hence you will not be able to use offline tap-and-pay using credit and debit cards on this device.
    •  Lack of USB-C type port and fast charger:The Galaxy A7 2018 comes with microUSB port. The bundled charger is not a  fast charger. Also, it does not support wireless charging.
    • No LED Notification Light.

    These are the uninspiring features or Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Cons according to us based on the first impression. However, we will be doing the in-depth review in the coming days and update these points if required.

    Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones are considered as the toned down version of the flagship. Galaxy A8 plus is not an exception to it. It borrows a lot of features such as infinity display,  best in class design, water, and dust resistance etc from Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8.     No Android Oreo update

    Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus launched in the month of Jan 2018. Therefore we expected it to ship with the latest version of Android, i.e Android Oreo. Unfortunately, Samsung opted to ship with Android Naugat. Considering the past experience, the device will take a long time to get the latest version of Android.

    Lacks 4K video recording support

    Priced at 33k, comparing with competition, lack of 4K video recording capability is a demerit of Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus.

    No Optical Image stabilization

    Touted as a camera-centric phone, it is surprising that Samsung omitted the optical image stabilization option. The lack of OIS will be felt while capturing photos in low light and artificial lighting condition.

    Galaxy A8 Plus is a promising premium midrange smartphone. Samsung has done a good job in most of the segment. Competetive pricing could have made this smartphone much more impressive.

    Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a dual aperture lens. With this user can switch between f/1.5 or f/2.4 depending on the lighting condition. Since most of all the smartphones come with fixed aperture lens which can not be changed, it is a most noteworthy feature of Galaxy S9.

    Super slow motion 960 fps @ 720p Video Recording

    Another interesting feature of Galaxy S9 is the ability to capture super slow motion videos. It is probably the only smartphone which captures such a super slow motion at 720p as of now. Do note that, the maximum duration of super slow motion video recording is 0.2 seconds which expands to 6 seconds video.

    Bixby Vision-Real time translation

    With Galaxy S9, Samsung added real-time text translation feature to Bixby Vision. It allows users to point Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ camera at the word or phrase which needs to be translated and see the text or word in the desired language(Only to the supported languages).

    Stereo Speakers

    Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with dual speakers tuned by AKG Acoustics. In addition, it has Dolby Atmos surround sound. This may not be a most noteworthy feature. But it is a welcome addition to the latest flagship smartphone of Samsung.

    Live makeup mode and AR Emojis

    Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus come with live makeup mode and  AR Emojis features. AR Emojis, one of the key feature is the ability to change still image into Emoji. With live makeup mode, one can have fun with different types of makeup in real time.
