    To write Rupee symbol in Microsoft word, you need to set your keyboard layout to English (India). To set the keyboard layout to English (India), follow the steps given below. If it is already set, then you can skip this step.

    • Go to Settings->Time & Language->Region & language.
    • Click on Add a language. Select English (India).
    • You can make it default or you can toggle between languages by clicking on right bottom language icon.

    Different ways to type INR symbol in Word

    Keyboard Shortcut method 1:

    If you already have rupee symbol in your keyboard, then type,

    Ctrl + Alt + ₹

    You need to press Ctrl, Alt and ₹ at a time.

    If you don’t have Rupee symbol printed on your keyboard then type,

    Ctrl + Alt + 4($)

    Keyboard Shortcut Method 2:

    This is other options. For using this method of typing INR symbol, use the following key combination.

    Right Alt+₹.

    Method 3:

    For using this method, type

    Left Side Alt+8377.

    Method 4 using Unicode

    Unicode for INR symbol is U+20B9. Type 20B9 and press Alt+X. You should use the left Alt key. While holding down Alt key press the X key.

    • Enable Assistant Menu by going to Settings->Accessibility->Dexterity and interaction. Enable Assistant menu by moving slider to right.

    • To take screenshot, swipe the edge of your hand across the screen.

    Recently Whatsapp released a update. This update brings in the option to stop people adding number to group without user consent. But to enable this, user has to change the privacy settings.

    • First ensure that, you have updated your WhatsApp messenger to latest version.
    • Now go to Setting->Account->Privacy.
    • Now tap on Groups.
    • Here you have 3 options.
      • Everyone: If you enable this option, anyone can add you to the group.
      • My contacts : If you enable this option, only people in your contact can add you to group.
      • Nobody : Select this option, if you don’t want your number to be added to any group from anyone.
    • If you want to block people adding to whatsapp group, select the option nobody.
    • Finally tap on Done.

    This way you can stop adding your number to WhatsApp groups without your consent. However, group admins will have the option of inviting you privately. If you accept it, you will added to the group.

  • How to update Address on Aadhaar Card Online

    UIDAI or Unique Identification Authority of India provides many services online through its self-service portal. One such facility is change or update address in Aadhaar database. Here is the steps on how to update address on Aadhaar card online.

    As per UIDAI, address in Aadhaar card can be changed online using the OTP based process. However, it is mandatory to have mobile number registered with your Aadhaar card.

    Change or Update Address in Aadhaar card using valid address proof

    If you have a valid address proof, it is easier to update your address in Aadhaar card. Some of the valid address proof document as per
    UIDAI are given below.

    • Bank Statement/Passbook.
    • Post Office Account statement/passbook.
    • Ration card.
    • Voter ID.
    • Driving Licence.
    • Government Photo ID cards/Service photo identity card issued by a PSU.
    • Marriage certificate with address issued by Government.
    • Upto three month old electricity, water, telephone landline, Gas connection bills, property tax receipt and Credit card statement.

    To update the address,

    • Go to the UIDAI self care portal.
    • Login with Aadhaar.
    • Click on Address update request.
    • Upload the Address proof documents.
    • Select BPO Service Provider and submit the request.

    Any Indian resident with a registered mobile number can update address using the UIDAI’s self service portal. As password for login is sent to registered mobile number, it is mandatory to have correct mobile number updated in Aadhaar database.

    Change or Update Address in Aadhaar card without address proof

    For those who have moved to new city or house recently, getting a address proof is little difficult. For helping such citizens Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is providing option to change address in Aadhaar card by giving address validation letter instead of valid address proof of residence.

    In order to get address validation letter, the Aadhaar cardholder must get consent from an address lender or verifier who would allow their Aadhaar registered address to be used by the resident. The address verifier can be a family member, relative, friend or landlord where you are residing presently.

    Once you get the consent from the address verifier, follow the steps mentioned below to updated the address in Aadhaar card without valid Address proof.

    • Go to UIDAI self care portal.
    • Login with your Aadhaar number.
    • Generate an address validation letter.

    A letter with a secret code will be sent to address verifier through post. Once it is received,

    • Login once again to UIDAI self care portal.
    • Provide the secret code by going to ‘proceed to update address’.

    UIDAI website states that, Submission of information for update does not guarantee update of Aadhaar data. The information submitted is subjected to verification and validation.

    If your request to update address in Aadhaar card is approved, then you can download the e-Aadhaar card.

    1. Hide or Unhide Notch in Galaxy M20

      To hide notch in Galaxy M20, go to Settings->Display->Full screen apps. Then Enable Hide camera option by moving the slider to right. This will hide the notch by darkening the top of the screen and show all apps and content below the camera. Disabling the Hide Camera option will unhide the notch.

    2. Auto call recording

      If you want turn on auto call recording, go to call setting. You can go to call settings by opening the dialer and tap Options(three vertical dots in the top right corner). Now go to Settings. Slide down and find Record calls option. Enable Auto record calls.

    3. Identify spam and scam callers

      If you want to see the names and profile pictures of callers and message senders who aren’t in your contact, then this feature may help. This is done using pre installed Hiya app. To enable this feature, go to CALL SETTINGS->Caller ID and spam protection. Turn on the service. It will show the terms and conditions. If you agree with that, you can use the service.

    4. Enable or Disable VoLTE in 2nd SIM

      By default VoLTE is enabled for 2nd SIM. For some reason, if you want to disable VoLTE on 2nd SIM, go to Settings->Connections->Mobile networks. Now enable or disable VoLTE on 2nd SIM by tapping on VoLTE calls SIM 2.

    5. Type Indian Languages

      If you want to type in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil etc, in message and whatsapp then follow the steps given below.
      1. Go to Settings->General management->Language and input.
      2. Tap on On-screen keyboard.
      3. Then go to Samsung Keyboard->Languages and types.
      4. Now tap on manage input languages.
      5. Enable the language which you want to use.
      6. Whenever you want to type, in the keyboard swipe left or right on space bar to navigate between the languages.
