Xolo Black Review – Cons And Pros
Xolo Black is the first smartphone from Lava’s premium brand Xolo Black Series. There are many options within the price bracket of 15k. With likes of Lenovo K3 Note, Yu Yureka Plus, InFocus M810, where Xolo Black stands. Lets have a quick Xolo Black Review based on the pros and cons.

Xolo Black is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (2nd Gen) SoC(4x Arm cortex A53 @ 1.5GHz + 4x Arm Cortex A53 @ 1.1 GHz) and 2GB of RAM. The onboard storage is 16GB in which approximately 12GB user available storage and it supports microSD card. This is the same SoC used in recently launched Yu Yureka Plus which is available for Rs.9999. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Hive UI. Overall performance is decent with minimum lag. However, the Hive UI feels bit sluggish at times.

Xolo Black sports 5.5 inch display screen with full HD resolution(1920*1080 pixels) which results in 401 ppi pixel density. The viewing angles, touch and color reproductions are pretty decent. It is a dual sim smartphone. SIM 1 supports microSIM cards which supports 4G/3G/2G. The SIM2 supports only 2G. On SIM 2 slot you need to opt between second sim or microSD card. You cannot use both second sim and microSD card together.The device supports USB OTG.

Xolo Black comes with 13MP+2MP Dual primary camera with LED flash. The front camera is of 5MP (BSI Sensor) resolution and this also has LED flash. The primary camera can record Full HD(1080p) video and there is native video calling support. The camera performance is decent enough. You can even capture images while recording Full HD videos. The Xolo Black packs non removable 3200 mAh battery.

- Good design and build quality: The device glass on both the sides and it is protected by Corning Gorilla glass 3. It is gives premium feel to the device.

- Hive UI needs more improvements
- Handset lags while playing high end games in high graphic mode.
- No headset/earphone in the box
- You cannot use second sim and microSD card simultaneously.
- No direct Galley app access in order to support intel’s photo studio, but photostudio is heavily laging.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablet Launched
Samsung has launched two new Galaxy S2 Tablets which are slimmer than the iPad Air 2. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in 8 inch and 9.7 inch displays. Both these tablets will be available across the globe starting from August. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablet price details are not yet revealed by the company.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be powered by Octa Core (quad-core 1.9GHz + quad-core 1.3GHz) Exynos 533 processor with 3GB of RAM. These tablets comes with 32 and 64GB storage options along with support for microSD slot that supports 128GB cards. In addition to it, Samsung is bundling 100GB of free OneDrive cloud storage for two years. The Tab S2 comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Solutions for creating and editing documents.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8, features 8 inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and Tab S2 9, features 9.7 inch display with same resolution. This time Samsung is using 4:3 aspect ratio on these displays. These tablets are focussed for productivity and as reading tablet. So the video watching experience might not be the great.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has fingerprint sensor built into the home button(the sensor works on touch instead of a swipe). The connectivity features of this Samsung Tablet includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, GLONASS, and Bluetooth 4.1 BLE. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 sports 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8, measures 134.8×198.6×5.6mm and weighs 265 grams for Wi-Fi and 272 grams for the LTE model. This variant packs 4000mAh battery. For the Tab S2 9, measures 169×237.3×5.6mm and weighs 389 grams for Wi-Fi model and 392 grams for the LTE. This tablet variant packs 5870 mAh battery. Both variants runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Samsung’s newest version of TouchWiz on top

Yu Yureka Plus With Snapdragon 615 and 2GB RAM Launched
Yu Yureka Plus is the third smartphone from Micromax’s Yu Brand. This is the upgraded version of Yu Yureka smartphone. Yu Yureka Plus price in India is Rs.9,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in flash sales. The new smartphone registrations are started and first flash sale will happen on this Friday at 12PM.

Yu Yureka Plus runs on Cyanogen OS 12 which is based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It is a dual sim smartphone which accepts mciroSIM cards(4G+3G). The device features 5.5 inch IPS display with screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 401 ppi pixel density. The display has Corning Gorilla glass protection with Oleophobic coating.

Micromax Yu Yureka Plus is powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939) clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. There is onboard storage of 16GB and supports microSD card for additional storage. The connectivity features of the device includes Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,GPS, 3G and Cat. 4 4G LTE.

Yu Yuphoria Available Without Registration

Yu Televenture which is a subsidiary of Micromax, announced that Yu Yuphoria will be available for buy without flash sales starting from Tuesday to Thursday. According to the press release open sale will be from Made in India batch. According to the company over 100000 made in India Yu Yuphoria smartphone will be available for consumers.

The company tweeted the news in its twitter handle that, “Get ready for a triple dose of happiness! #Yuphoria – Made in India.” The tweet includes an attached image that said “No registrations, no time limits.”. The tweet has a image attachment which said that “No registrations, no time limits.”.

Yu Yuphoria is priced at Rs.6,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in. The device is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. The internal storage of this smartphone is 16GB and supports microSD card. The dual sim Yu Yuphoria supports 4G networks in India and runs on Cynogen OS 12 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Yu Yuphoria comes with 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 lens and LED flash while also featuring a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. This budget dual sim Android smartphone has 5 inch display screen with 720p HD resolution. The connectivity features of the device includes LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and Micro-USB.
