New Variants of Asus Zenfone 2
Asus Zenfestival 2015 witnessed launch of new variants of popular Zenfone 2 smartphone in India. The newly launched smartphones are ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone 2 Laser, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe and ZenFone Max. The common feature of all 4 smartphone includes Android 5.0 Lollipop, 4G LTE support, and dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) dual active support. Let us have quick look into these new smartphones from Asus.

New Variants of Asus Zenfone 2

I have already written a detailed post on comparing different variants of Asus Zenfone 2, in one of my previous post with the model numbers. The earlier variants majorly differentiated by the storage limit and display screen. All previous models were powered by Intel Atom processors with different clock speed. But, now Asus Zenfone 2 available with Snapdragon Soc too. We will discuss more on this by looking into individual new Asus Zenfone 2 variants.

The main attraction of the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is its design. It also has 13MP PixelMaster camera with laser auto-focus technology. This technology helps to take instant shots on near object. This one of the most affordable variants of Asus Zenfone 2. It is powered by Snapdragon 410 Soc with 2GB of RAM. It has 5.5 inch IPS capacitive touch screen with 720HD resolution. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The other features of the device includes 5MP front facing camera with f/2.0 and wide angle(85 degree) lens. OnePlus 2 launched with Snapdragon 810 Soc and 4GB RAM
OnePlus 2, the eagerly waited OnePlus One successor finally launched after numerous leaks and hype filled teasers. The new smartphone features magnesium frame and metal buttons along with powerful Soc and 4GB of RAM. The OnePlus 2 price starts from $329 for basic 16GB variant and $389 for the 64GB top variant.

OnePlus 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 4GB of RAM. The onboard storage on this device is optional between 16GB or 64GB. The device runs on Oxygen OS which is based on Android Lollipop. This new flagship smartphone will have StyleSwap covers with various finishes. Black with sandstone finish will be the default choice out of the box.

OnePlus 2 sports 5.5 inch full HD(1080p) display which is claimed to be brighter and with more accurate color reproduction than the screen found in in its predecessor. There is also fingerprint sensor which is said to be faster than the one in iPhone 6. It allows up to five fingerprints in the device. 3300 mAh battery powers the One Plus 2.

OnePlus 2 connectivity features includes dual-nanoSIM functionality, 4G LTE connectivity. There is a USB Type-C is the standard connectivity port through which user can take advantage of micro USB accessories. Camera of OnePlus 2 is a 13MP unit with optical image stabilization, laser focus, and 1.3 µm pixels. There is also a 5MP front facing camera for selfie lovers.

OnePlus 2 will be available on different key markets starting August 11. For purchasing the device, one need to have invites like we have seen with OnePlus One. However, manufacture promised much easier invite system this time.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablet Launched
Samsung has launched two new Galaxy S2 Tablets which are slimmer than the iPad Air 2. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in 8 inch and 9.7 inch displays. Both these tablets will be available across the globe starting from August. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablet price details are not yet revealed by the company.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be powered by Octa Core (quad-core 1.9GHz + quad-core 1.3GHz) Exynos 533 processor with 3GB of RAM. These tablets comes with 32 and 64GB storage options along with support for microSD slot that supports 128GB cards. In addition to it, Samsung is bundling 100GB of free OneDrive cloud storage for two years. The Tab S2 comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Solutions for creating and editing documents.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8, features 8 inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and Tab S2 9, features 9.7 inch display with same resolution. This time Samsung is using 4:3 aspect ratio on these displays. These tablets are focussed for productivity and as reading tablet. So the video watching experience might not be the great.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has fingerprint sensor built into the home button(the sensor works on touch instead of a swipe). Yu Yureka Plus With Snapdragon 615 and 2GB RAM Launched
Yu Yureka Plus is the third smartphone from Micromax’s Yu Brand. This is the upgraded version of Yu Yureka smartphone. Yu Yureka Plus price in India is Rs.9,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in flash sales. The new smartphone registrations are started and first flash sale will happen on this Friday at 12PM.

Yu Yureka Plus runs on Cyanogen OS 12 which is based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It is a dual sim smartphone which accepts mciroSIM cards(4G+3G). The device features 5.5 inch IPS display with screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 401 ppi pixel density. The display has Corning Gorilla glass protection with Oleophobic coating.

Micromax Yu Yureka Plus is powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939) clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. Micromax Yu Yureka Plus will be available in Alabaster White and Moondust colour variants. As per the company statement, both color variants will be available for flash sale. The smartphone houses 2500 mAh battery which is rated to provide 8 hours of talk time , 210 hours of standby time and 7 hours of browsing time.

Micromax Yu Yureka Plus will compete with Lenovo K3 Note which is also priced similar. Lenovo K3 Note features 5.5 inch Full HD display screen and runs on Octa Core Mediatek processor and 2GB of RAM. The device has 13MP primary camera and 5MP front facing camera.

Yu Yuphoria Available Without Registration

Yu Televenture which is a subsidiary of Micromax, announced that Yu Yuphoria will be available for buy without flash sales starting from Tuesday to Thursday. According to the press release open sale will be from Made in India batch. According to the company over 100000 made in India Yu Yuphoria smartphone will be available for consumers.

The company tweeted the news in its twitter handle that, “Get ready for a triple dose of happiness! #Yuphoria – Made in India.” The tweet includes an attached image that said “No registrations, no time limits.”. The tweet has a image attachment which said that “No registrations, no time limits.”.

Yu Yuphoria is priced at Rs.6,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in. The device is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. The internal storage of this smartphone is 16GB and supports microSD card. The dual sim Yu Yuphoria supports 4G networks in India and runs on Cynogen OS 12 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
