    Elephone P7000 is powered by MediaTek MT6752 64bit 1.7GHz octa-core CPU with 3GB of RAM and ARM MALI-T760 GPU. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The internal storage capacity of the device is 16GB.  The device microSD card upto 32GB. The device also has Touch ID.

    Elephone P7000 sports 5.5 inch full HD display screen with pixel density of 400 ppi.  This Android phablet has 13MP Sony IMX 214 primary rear camera sensor, with f2.0 aperture.  There is also a 5MP front facing camera for the selfie lovers.  The connectivity features of the device includes 4G, 3G, WiFi. Bluetooth, WiFi and microUSB.

    Elephone P7000 houses 3450 mAh battery.   • Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Starts Getting Android Lollipop Update

    Samsung is more serious on its market share. It released innovative smartphones Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Now, it is moving fast on upgrading its Galaxy smartphones to Android Lollipop update. Not only the high end phones, even budget Samsung smartphones started getting the latest iteration of Android. New addition to this is Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.

    Samsung Galaxy Core Prime in particular model no SM-G360F next in line to get the Android 5.0.2 update.   • Lenovo A5000 With 4000 mAh Battery 5 inch HD Display Launched

    Lenovo A5000 officially launched in India.  Unlike previous A series smartphone, this device available on Lenovo official store. Lenovo A5000 price in India is Rs.9,999.

    This smartphone first launched in Russia last week. It is also listed on Lenovo’s official UAE page but there is no mention of the price. In India, Lenovo’s TheDoStore is started taking the pre-order  for Lenovo A5000 and it is mentioned that April 30th as the shipping date.

    Lenovo A5000 key highlight is its 4000mAh battery which is rated to provide upto 17 hours of talk time and upto 792 hours of standby time. Unlike Lenovo A6000 and Lenovo A7000, Lenovo A5000 does not supports 4G network. It supports only 3G connectivity. The company also said that, A5000 has Quick charge feature which allows battery to get fully charged in 3 hours while a 15 minutes charge will offer 4 hours of talk time.

    Lenovo A5000 is a dual sim(Micro-SIM and regular sim)  running on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box.  The device sports 5 inch IPS display screen with a screen resolution of 720×1280 and 300 ppi pixel density. The device also comes with rain and splash-proof screen protection according to the company.

    The Lenovo A5000 is powered by 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek(MT6582) processor with 1GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU. The internal storage capacity is 8GB and supports microSD card upto 32GB.  The device houses 8MP auto focus primary rear camera and LED flash. There is also a 2MP front facing camera for video calling and taking selfies.

    The connectivity features of Lenovo A5000 includes GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. It has sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. The device measures 140×71.4×9.98mm, weighs 160 grams. The available colors are Black and White.

    The pricing of Lenovo A5000 is confusing. The much better spec smartphones such as Lenovo A6000 Plus or Lenovo 7000 price is lesser than A5000. The extra money for just 4000 mAh battery with compromise on the other specification does not look good. Any way, once we do the complete Lenovo A5000 review, we will come to know whether it is worth or not.

  • Xiaomi MiPad With Tegra K1 SOC and 7.9 inch Display

    Xiaomi on its event on 12th March, launched two devices in India. The first one is Redme 2 and the other one is table which is named as MiPad.  It was first unveiled in China last year May month. Xiaomi first table in India is available exclusively on Flipkart. Unlike other Xiaomi devices, this will be available without flash sales. Xiaomi MiPad price in India is Rs.12,999.

    Xiaomi MiPad  sports 7.9-inch IPS Retina display with screen resolution of QXGA (2048×1536 pixel)  and a pixel density of 324ppi, all of which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen. This tablet runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat along with MiUI.

    Xiaomi MiPad is powered by ‘4+1’-core Nvidia Tegra K1 SoC ARM Cortex-A15 processor clocked at 2.2GHz with the 192-core Kepler GPU, alongside 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. This tablets claims to pack Kepler GPU architecture and supports OpenGL 4.4 and OpenGL ES 3.1. Connectivity features of the tablet includes dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0.  The MiPad tablet houses 6700mAh Li-ion battery. The internal storage of this tablet is 16GB.

    Xiaomi MiPad houses a  8-megapixel rear camera with a Sony BSI sensor that can shoot full-HD resolution videos. There is also a 5MP front facing camera with OmniVision sensor. Both camera do feature  f2.0 aperture. MiPad measures 135.4×202.1×8.5mm and weighs 360 grams.

    Considering at the specification, this Xiaomi tablet looks of the best value for money tablet. However, real time performance will be known once we get the device for review. Only thing which strikes as of now is lack of Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

  • Pros and Cons Review of the Blackberry Classic

    Blackberry loyalists are in for a treat as the company has launched their new handset, Blackberry Classic. With this new handset, Blackberry goes back to the old times and in terms of design and keyboard. The Classic features a stainless steel outer frame, a plastic and glass front panel and a textured back panel with a slightly rubberized finish. The resolution of the phone remains at 720 X 720 pixels along with a capacitive 3.5 inches touchscreen.

    It is powered by Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor in addition to Adreno 225 GPU for better gaming. The handset’s internal memory is 16 GB, which can be expanded up to 128 GB through micro SD card and the RAM provided, is 2 GB. Blackberry Classic has been given a good touch and an 8 MP rear camera with 5-element f2.2 lens, LED flash, Back Side Illumination, and support for 1080p HD video recording @ 30fps. A front-facing camera of 2 MP is also included in the phone for better quality while video calling. The phone is pretty solid in terms of performance and in terms of connectivity it supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth4.0, NFC, 4G, Radio, and GPS. The Classic has a 2515mAh battery that is non-removable and the company claims that it offers backup for 22 hours on mixed use.

    Pros of the Blackberry Classic:

    • Awesome Build Quality: The phone is a little heavy but it fits correctly and the feel of it is quite good.
    • Display sharpness: Although the display is not full-HD, yet the quality of the screen seems pleasant to the eyes because of the resolution.
    • Expandable memory: The Classic has been given an internal memory of 16 GB, which can be expanded to 128 GB. It will be useful to the people, who like to store tons of data in their phones.
    • Battery life: Blackberry has already said that the phone will provide a backup time of 22 hours when put to mixed use. The need for backup becomes more when it is a smartphone which enhances the phones ability.
    • Miracast: The Classic also feature the Miracast technology, which enables you to share your display with a TV.

    Cons of the Blackberry Classic:

    • Lack of HDMI Connector: The Classic has the ability to record high-resolution videos at 1920 X 1080 pixels, but the fact that it cannot be connected to your HDTV is a letdown. There is no HDMI port present in the device for that.
    • Weight: At 178 grams (6.28 ounces), the phone feels a bit weighty if you have to hold on to it for a lengthy time.
    • Slower processing: The Classic has been given a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor with just 2GB of RAM. In comparison to the recent smartphones, this still feels a little less and can cause slower user experience.
    • Price: The price of Classic has been announced Rs. 31,000. At this price, there are many other better available to the user. Also, the hardware in the handset is old and would not appeal much to the buyer.
