  • Motorola Moto X Play With 21MP Camera Launched at 18,499

    Motorola Moto X Play is launched in India with starting price of Rs.18,499 which is for 16GB variant. The 32GB variant of Moto Play is priced at Rs.19,999. Like all previous Motorola smartphones, Moto X Play also will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting Monday midnight. You can check out new smartphone from here.

    Motorola Moto X Play main attractions are camera and battery. It comes with 21-megapixel rear camera which comes with f/2.0 aperture and CCT (Colour Correlated Temperature) flash with dual-LED modules. The camera features include Phase Detect Auto-Focus (PDAF),  record 1080p HD video at 30fps,  tap anywhere to capture; slow motion video support; video stabilisation; 4X digital zoom; burst mode; night mode; auto HDR; Panorama, and drag to focus and exposure. There is also a 5MP front facing camera. The front facing camera uses screen brightness for flash.

    Motorola Moto X Play houses 3630mAh battery which is rated to provide mixed usage of up to 48 hours. Another feature is quick charge. Motorola claims that, 15 minutes of charge can deliver upto 8 hours of usage.  Users needs to but turbo charger seperately for Rs.1000. Moto X Play measures 148x75x10.9mm and weighs 169 grams.

    Motorola Moto X Play sports 5.5 inch full HD(1080×1920 pixels) display which offers a pixel density of 403 ppi. There is also a Corning Gorilla Glass protection for preventing the display from scratches. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box which gives almost a stock android experience with few tweaks.

    Lenovo A6000 And Lenovo A6000 Plus are the two most popular budget dual sim Android smartphones in India.  Lenovo A6000 Plus is a incremental upgrade over A6000. It has 2GB of ram and 16GB of internal storage whereas Lenovo A6000 has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Rest of the specs are identical. Tapping on that also checks for the update. As the size of Android Lollipop update is huge, it is highly recommended to update via WiFi.

    1. Google Play Store error: If you are facing this issue, try to update all your installed apps. This fixes issues in many cases.
    2. Issues with dialer or contact manage: There are many users reported that, after the update, contacts are not displaying in Whatsapp. The solution for this varies from user to user. The common solution which worked for many is syncing the contacts and removing the cache. First you need to sync all your contacts through your google account. If problem continues, go to Settings->App Management and clear all the data and cache. Once again sync your contacts with the account where you have already synced your contacts.
    3. Other general bugs: If your phone is slow or having bugs, you can restart the device and check. If problem continues, then you can try wiping the cache memory. If even then problem continues, then only solution is factory reset. Do remember that, Performing factory reset on Lenovo A6000 and Lenovo A6000 Plus will delete all the data on your smartphone.

  • Yu Yunique Launched in India at Rs.4999

    Micromax’s Yu Televentures launched its fourth and cheapest 4G Android smartphone, the Yu Yunique.The device is priced at Rs.4,999 in India. Users can opt for bundled two different coloured back covers at Rs.5999. The Yu Yunique is available exclusively on Snapdeal via flash sale. The registrations are already open and first flash sale will happen on 15th September at 12PM IST.

    Yu Yunique sports 4.7 inch display screen with 720p(720×1280 pixels) HD screen with pixel density of 312ppi. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.  This device  is powered by 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 306 GPU.

    Yu Yunique runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It has 8GB of internal storage and support for microSD card upto 32GB. This new Yu smartphone sports 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture with  LED flash and a 2-megapixel, fixed-focus 83-degree wide-angle front-facing camera with 3P Lens and f/2.4 aperture.

    Yu Yunique is backed by 2000mAh Li-Po battery which is rated to provide 7 hours of talk time and 271 hours of standby time. The connectivityu features of the device includes TDD Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD Band 3 (1800MHz) for India alongside Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio and Micro-USB v2.0 connectivity.

    This is the fourth smartphone from Yu. The other three smartphones are Yu Yureka, Yu Yureka Plus and Yu Yuphoria. Yu Yunique will compete with the likes of Phicomm Energy 653 and Lenovo A2010. Looking at the spec sheet and comparing these three smartphones, Yu Yunique looks imporessive. However, we will be able to come to conclusion only after we do the complete review on Yu Yunique.

    Lenovo has announced an open sale for its most affordable dual sim 4G smartphone in India A2010. The open sale for Lenovo A2010 already started from today at 12PM.     Lenovo A2010 is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.0GHz with Mali T720-MP1 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The handset has 8GB of onboard storage which around 4GB is user available. The device also supports microSD card upto 32GB.  A2010 4G smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

    Lenovo A2010 has 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen with resolution of 854 x 480 Pixels.   The connectivity features of the device includes 2G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB. This Lenovo 4G Dual sim phone houses 5MP primary camera and 2MP front facing camera.  It has 2000 mAh Li-Polymer battery.

    Considering the price point, the specification of the device is not much impressive. The smartphones such as Phicomm Energy 653 looks more attractive than this. It has 5 inch IPS screen with 720p HD resolution. The device is powered by 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB of RAM.

  • Lenovo Phab Plus With 6.8 inch Display Launched

    Lenovo has launched Phab Plus phablet in China. The device is priced at CNY 2,599(Approximately Rs.27,000 in India). With 6.8 inch display, it will compete with Huawei Ascend P8max which also features 6.8 inch full HD display screen. This smartphone will be available via China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom telecom providers in China. At the time of writing this post, there is no update on whether this device will be lauched in India or not.

    Lenovo Phab Plus runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI. The device sports 6.8 inch display with screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 326 ppi pixel density. The device is powered by 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. Lenovo Phab Plus has 32GB of internal storage and support for microSD card.

    Lenovo Phab Plus features 13MP rear camera with Dual LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. It is a dual sim phablet which accepts one Micro-SIM card and the other Nano-SIM. The connectivity features of this new Lenovo phablet includes 4G, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB.

    Lenovo Phab Plus houses 3500mAh battery which according Lenovo, can deliver up to 24 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours of standby time. Like we have seen with Lenovo K3 Note, this phablet too comes with a rear speaker powered by Dolby Atmos. This dual sim Lenovo phablet measures 186.6×96.6×7.6mm and weighs 220 grams. The device will be available in Metallic Grey and Midnight Blue colours.
