  • Lenovo Lemon 3 With 5 inch Full HD Display and Octa Core SoC Launched

    Lenovo has added yet another budget dual sim 4G Android smartphone to its product portfolio with the launch of Lemon 3. Currently device is launched in only China and priced at RMB 699(approximately 7,000). Lenovo Lemon 3 will be available in Gold and Silver colour options and users can purchase in China from next week. Global launch date is not yet revealed.

    Lenovo Lemon 3 sports 5 inch Full HD IPS display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and 441 ppi pixel density. The device supports dual sim functionality and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Lemon 3 is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

    The internal storage on this new Lenovo smartphone stands at 16GB and supports microSD card upto 128GB.  The connectivity features of Lenovo Lemon 3 are 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth. It also has Waves MaxxAudio technology and Dolby audio for improved audio experience.

    Lenovo Lemon 3 houses 13 MP primary camera at the rear end accompanied by an LED flash and a 5 MP secondary snapper in front to facilitate video calling. The dimensions of the device are 142x71x7.99mm and weighs 142g.  Lenovo Lemon 3 packs 2,750 mAh battery.

    This week, Xiaomi has launched Redme 3 in China with price tag of CNY 699 and most of the specifications looks similar to Lemon 3. Redme 3 has 4100 mAh battery and has 720p HD screen. Given price tag, Lemon 3 looks very attractive. However, we will be able judge the real time performance only after performing in depth review on Lenovo Lemon 3. Recently Lenovo has launched Vibe K4 Note and Lenovo A7000 in India. We will doing the Lenovo Lemon 3 review once it gets launched in India.

  • Xiaomi Redmi 3 With 5 inch Display And 4100 mAh Battery Launched

    Xiaomi has launched Redmi 3 smartphone in China ahead of its scheduled Tuesday launch. The device is priced at CNY 699(Approximately Rs.7,000).  This Redme 3 smartphone will be available on Mi.com and Tmall and will go on sale in China starting tomorrow. There is no official communication on the availability of the device out side China as of now.

    Redme 3 features an all metal body and sports a textured rear panel with design which company is said to be inspired by “the stars in the night sky.” It will be available in 3 color variants namely gold, grey and silver.

    Xiaomi Redmi 3 sports 5 inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 293 ppi pixel density. It runs on MIUI 7 which is based on some Android version which is not disclosed by Xiaomi. This Redme 3 dual sim smartphone accepts one Micro-SIM and other Nano-SIM.

    One of the key USP of Redmi 3 is its 4100mAh non removable battery. With a battery density of 685Wh/L, according to Xiaomi, it extends the talk time of Redme 2 by reportedly 80 percent. The Redme 3 comes with support for 5V/2A fast charging.

The onboard storage on the device is 16GB and it can be further extended with microSD card upto 128GB. The connectivity features of this Redme smartphone includes Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

    Redmi 3 houses 13MP rear camera with LED flash which can record videos at 1080p resolution. There is 5MP front facing camera which can also record full HD videos.

  • Asus Zenfone Laser with 6 inch Full HD display launched at Rs 17,999

    Asus has launched new variant of Zenfone 2 Laser(ZE601KL) in India at a price of Rs.17,999. The device will be available in 3 different color options – Red, Silver and Gold. Starting December 2nd week, ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) will be available through popular e-commerce sites such as Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. It can be also purchased from offline channels.

    Asus Zenfone 2 Laser(ZE601KL) sports 6-inch IPS full-HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and 367 ppi pixel density. The display has scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.  ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) is a dual sim 4G enabled smartphone and runs on Android Android 5.0 Lollipop-based ZenUI.     Meizu M2 is powered by 2500mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 23 hours of talk time on 2G, 10 hours of internet surfing on 4G and 680 hours of standby time. The connectivity features of the device are 2G, 3G, GPS, A-GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. The M2 smartphone support 1800MHz FDD-LTE band in India. However, 2300MHz TDD-LTE band is not supported.

    Meizu M2 has polycarbonate unibody and measures 68.9×8.7×140.1mm. The weight of this smartophone is  131 grams. M2 will compete with the likes of Redme 2, Moto E 2nd Gen and Lenovo A6000 Plus.

    This festival season is very good for the smartphone lovers. Within the price tag of 10k, we have lot of options. The addition of Coolpad Note 3 with fingerprint scanner at Rs.8,999 and this smartphone further intensifies the competetion.
